2021 KLINDT VINEYARD

ROSÉ

2021 Rosé | Klindt Vineyard

Special Release, limited production.

Rosé is often produced as an afterthought…grapes that didn’t make the barrel for feature wines, leftover pickings that weren’t needed, etc.

Not this rosé.

Grown, picked and selected intentionally for rosé, these grapes were fermented in a concrete egg and then finished in neutral French oak for 6 months. The fruit hales from the Klindt Vineyard in the Deep End of Anderson Valley, where the cool climate elevates peak ripeness but allows for lower alcohol production.

Klindt Vineyard

These rocky soils, coupled with the cold climate of the Deep End, cause the vines to struggle and naturally limit production to small amounts of intense fruit.

  • Planted in 1998

  • Sustainably farmed

  • 18 inches of heavy clay loam overlying a layer of fractured rock

  • Located in the Deep End

  • Farmer: Norman Kobler
